• In Bhagalpur the longest rail-cum-road bridge of India (24 Km) is being constructed on the river Ganges. The bridge will connect Bateshwar in Kahalgaon with Katari in Naugachia.


• In Madhubani district of Bihar the longest road bridge of India (13.2 Km) is being built under Bharatmala Project on the Kosi River.


• NHAI has issued a word order for the construction of a bridge between Sahebganj in Jharkhand and Manihari of Katihar district for Rs 1900Cr.


• The human trial of COVAXINIndia’s first indigenous vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with ICMR against the novel coronavirus started in AIIMS Patna.


• According to global medical journal Lancet, among eight districts of Bihar, Darbhanga is flagged most vulnerable for the long-term impact of COVID pandemic and also tops the national list.


• At present H.R. Srinivasa is the Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar and Dr Deepak Prasad has been recently appointed as State Election Commissioner (SEO) of Bihar.


• Pratyay Amrit has been appointed as the Principal Secretary in the Health Department of Bihar.


Vinod Kumar Sinha has been appointed as the chairman of Bihar State Human Rights Commission.


• Pradeep Kumar Jha has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Bihar Medical Services and Infrastructure Corporation Ltd.(BMSICL).


Compulsory retirement orders have been given to all departments in Bihar for inefficient employees aged 50 years or above.


• Bihar government will give special family pension benefits to the relatives of government employees who died of Coronavirus after coming into service after 2004.


• Bela Rail-wheel factory is located in Saran district of Bihar. Recently, a  blast occurred after a hot chemical liquid fell from a crane on a spot that was waterlogged.


Purnea University of Bihar has made a record by taking online PhD exam which is also first time ever in India.


• Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon passed away on 21st July; he was the 28th Governor of  Bihar (2018-2019).
