•Union Minister, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad released a “My Stamp on Chhath Puja”. A special cover on the theme ‘Chhath- A symbol of Simplicity and Cleanliness was also released.


• The much-loved Bhojpuri historical novel Phoolsunghi, written by Pandey Kapil, has now been translated into the English language.


• The remains of old buildings built of bricks have been found in the Chandan river near Bhadariya village under Amarpur block in Banka district. The arrival of lord buddha to Bhadai village have been mentioned by historians in many Buddhist texts.


• The martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur (9th Guru) is observed as Shaheed Diwas. He was beheaded in 1675 by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in Delhi's Chandni Chowk. 


• A three-minute-long children's film titled The Mask, made by 15-year-old Santu Kumar and produced by Bihar’s Kilkari has been selected for the International Corona Virus Short Film Festival.


Richa Kumari from Bihar has been crowned Mrs Asia Universe 2020.


Bihar was ranked 16th (with a score of -1.159) in the category of large states in Public Affairs Index, 2020 released by the Public Affairs Centre in Bengaluru. Kerala has emerged as the best-governed state in the country.


• CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated the 12.5 km long AIIMS-Digha elevated corridor in Patna, constructed at a cost of 1289.25 crores. This is the longest elevated road of Bihar and seventh in India. It'll help people from north-Bihar to reach the AIIMS-Patna easily after they enter the state capital through Sonepur-Digha JP setu.


• BJP leader and first woman Governor of Goa Mridula Sinha who hails from Muzaffarpur district of Bihar passed away recently.


• Former Bihar CM Shri Satish Prasad Singh passed away. He had served as the state chief minister for five days, between January 28 and February 1, 1968.


• The Pristine Mega Food Park is been built in Khagaria district at a cost of ₹ 150 Crores.


• Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar launched the Honey Farmers Producer Organization (FPO) of National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited (NAFED) in East Champaran in Bihar, Sundarbans in West Bengal, Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, Morena in Madhya Pradesh and Bharatpur in Rajasthan.


• In a RTI reply, bonds worth ₹2,822,901,000 were sold in October ahead of the Bihar Assembly Election from nine SBI branches. The Mumbai branch sold the highest amount of electoral bonds at ₹130 crores.
